Emotion Tempestry Activity Kit

Emotion Tempestries are a simple, intuitive, fun, and sometimes cathartic project for observing and contemplating shifting emotions over time.

Our activity kits are perfect for individuals or groups. Each stripe is a day, each color an emotion, and kits include a small blank notebook for jotting down notes as you go. No knitting or crocheting required!

Orders of 10 kits or more will be discounted 10% by way of a refund.

Emotion Tempestry Activity Kits include: 

-5g of pre-cut strips of Tempestry yarn in yellow (happy), green (calm), orange (anxious), red (angry), blue (sad), and gray (bored/listless) for a total of approximately 25g
-Approximately 30 beads in above colors plus purple (fear) instead of gray
-A strip of velcro
-A pocket notebook for recording daily colors & events

Optional add-on of a 1.0mm beading hook

Beads can be used to mark specific events within the overall mood/color of the day. For example, a happy yellow yarn day might still have an angry red bead to mark an argument or a frightened purple bead to mark a particularly bad dream. An anxious orange yarn day might still get a happy yellow bead to mark a friend’s visit or loving a new book or, in our case, learning to knit.

Emotion Tempestries can be general, with just a smattering of beads (if any), or quite specific with lots of beads. Our starter kits provide small amounts of all six colors, but keep in mind that every Emotion Tempestry is unique and will use different amounts of each color.

All our work is done in a smoke-free but cat-friendly home. While this particular cat is not prone to playing with yarn, her hair (as any pet owner knows) does occasionally stray.
