We are delighted to introduce our new Tempestry Worsted yarn! This item ships within 2-3 business days.

100g, approximately 220yds. Gauge is approximately 18-20 stitches per 4″ on US7-8 (4.5-5mm) needles

Also available in other amounts:  25g / 55yds, 50g / 110yds, and 200g / 440yds.

This yarn is milled and dyed in Pennsylvania exclusively for the Tempestry Project, from 100% US-sourced wool. This is a sturdy, strong wool perfect for Tempestries, of course — but also for warm sweaters, hats, scarves, and even semi-fancy-wear (see note below about the samples).

All our work is done in a smoke-free but cat-friendly home. While this particular cat is not prone to playing with yarn, her hair (as any pet owner knows) does occasionally stray.

Sample cowl used 70g; sample shawls used 185g (on mannequin) and 225g (on our dear friend Amanda, whose toddler generally prevents her from wearing fancy things and who was absolutely delighted with this fancy-but-sturdy shawl that can stand up to grabby toddler fingers!).
